In other news, a New hide-and-seek world Champion has been declared.

I grew up outside of Glacier National Park and worked in the park for a few summers. One of our most common questions was: “When do the glaciers come by?” Apparently a number of people thought that the glaciers were like geysers and kept a schedule. The second most heard question: “What time of year do deer become

Let’s call a moratorium on the use of “articulate” in describing the speech of non-white people.

Barbie t-rex at all times.

When did Barbies get ball joints? Back in my day, we had to position our dolls in an unnatural manner.

And unless this 18 year old had instructions on what she wished for her funeral, burial, etc. then presumably someone - likely her parents and maybe this fiance - decided what outfit she’d be buried in, what music would be played, what flowers, what (if anything) would go in the casket with her (hell, whether she’d be

She is being used as a puppet by the Liberty Council, or whatever they call themselves. When they lose this manufactured kerfuffle and disappear into the sunset, she is going to find herself without a job and very much alone.

Honestly, I find that some of the most bigoted and hypocritical Christians tend to be 'newer' ones that were hellions earlier in life. I think that once they've latched onto Christianity they feel like they have to make up for lost time or something by being extreme in all they're views.

AH!!! I am so intrigued by what will happen next with her. It seems like Steven’s uncanny ability to be friendly and lovable will earn them a lot of potential new allies over time which I love.

Yeah, it’s not a nickname. Like “be a dear” or “be a mensch” or whatever, as you say. It’s just a super condescending way to tell someone to do something for you.

I LOVE this column. So excited to get to read it when it goes up every week!! Thank you Madeleine!

I blanched and felt the worst second-hand embarassment at the ‘peach’ comment. I would be pretty upset if my boss called me that, I couldn’t imagine how I would react if one of my subordinates called me ‘peach’.

The art of men singing in the high register is still alive and well. The King’s Singers are a great showcase for countertenors, and there are lots of wonderful countertenor soloists working today, like Andreas Scholl:

Some people just can’t stop themselves tho, especially when they start drinking. But yeah, it’s like World War I fighting...so much blood for so little gain.
