Oh come on, she’s nowhere near being a household name the way Melissa McCarthy became after Bridesmaids.

I think he meant in terms of in theaters, as opposed to broadcast or live shows. Could be wrong tho.
Speaking as a common trans woman, I have neither the time nor the patience to be the face of the trans movement. What good are celebrities if they can’t provide a bit of advocacy for their communities? It seems like the Wachowski sisters are fairly well educated and self aware, and we also have Laverne Cox, and Tiq…
Let's just, like, any time someone wants to interview Caitlyn, they just go to the Wachowski sisters instead? Can we do that? For a better tomorrow?
At a base level, most of those movies end in a woman successfully finding a man. I loved them all, and think there’s plenty of good in them, but the movies we’re seeing now break out of the typical fairytale mold far more.
I didn’t cry! And I cried a lot during Inside Out.
I’m not sure why I’m surprised that “tasteful blackface” didn’t work out the way they promised it would. But sweet salty cheezits that’s embarrassing to look at. Yikes.
Right? Someone else pointed out that her make-up as Gamora was more natural looking. If you are going to be colorist and disregard her family's wishes at least find someone that can do natural looking makeup...
That makeup is ... something else. Wow.
One of the biggest knocks against her is she’s not a gifted politician and makes mistakes when talking to people off the cuff. She tries to make up for it through hard work, but she slips from time to time.
She’s a competent administrator and decent political negotiator (far different skill than business negotiation,…
I think she (like all of them at this point) is exhausted. But yeah, not a great look.
So another poster said we don’t really say “eh,” but it’s more.... “Thanks” and “eh” are not really compatible. “Eh” is seeking the other person’s approval for something you think is probably true or relevant, but that you don’t necessarily want to be completely responsible for in the conversation. If you’re thanking…
The snark here isn’t really justified, nor is the focus on the word “luxury.” The issue centers on the fact that this would be a pretty big carve-out from existing state tax policy on what is and isn’t taxed. Right now, the only medical or hygiene items that aren’t taxed are ones that have to be prescribed and…
My guess is that in an effort to be sensitive and respectful to the victims, they didn’t do their due diligence and sufficiently vet and prep them prior to testimony, and as a result, the defense actually managed to concoct a narrative that painted these victims as practically a cabal, first using their feminine wiles…
All judgments or opinions on Ghomeshi’s guilt or lack thereof, from a legal perspective this trial has been downright disastrous for the prosecution. He may be a scumbag but the reasonable doubt that has been sown pretty much demands a not-guilty finding.
I think the show lost its spark. Climbing the ladder to power is always more interesting than actually sitting at the top of it. I can’t imagine how two snakes battling against each other can make for good television. Sounds boring to me. Frank & Claire as the devil duo is the MAIN reason why season 1 and 2 were so…
i’m super bummed because they announced a couple weeks ago that there will definitely be a 5th season, which means that this one isn’t going to be the fiery downfall of Frank. which sucks because i really didn’t see how the series could go in a different direction and maintain the level of intrigue/drama/other…
Do you think they make Jeb sit at the kids’ table
