From an aviation point of view, this is so close that it's like coming so close to crashing in a car that you could barely slide a piece of paper between the car and whatever you were nearly hitting.

This is not semantics but real-life linguistics: Aerolineas Argentinas. Check it.

This is simple code, indeed. Fortunately, computers never, ever have to execute conflicting code and, when they rarely do so, they always "make" the "right decision." My years of using Windows and Macs and mainframes proves this to be true.

I operate from Daytona International on a daily basis but our taxi procedures make sure things like this are almost impossible.

Not sure. I try not to watch CNN.

Spain. Air traffic controllers were taking a nap, or on strike, or both.

Definitely closer than I'd ever want to be

I actually caught my son doing this yesterday. Of course, he's only two weeks old. Hoping he outgrows it before preschool.

reminds me of a game semi-popular when i was a teen....two guys would shove their big toe up the butt of their adversary. Usually will wearing pants, of course. Then the battle of will would start until one gave up. I was assured no homosexual tension was present during these battles for honor and glory.

Another great post, Tyler.

Actually I have it on good authority that the two TDS writers who worked on this segment are women. That's why it's so real.

Holy crud, you guys - that was like a checklist of my life! Down to the getting the keys out and opening the door to say, "Hello!" when I get home! (Granted, I'm kind of half talking to my dog, but...!)

This was so brilliant. I adore Jessica Williams, I always get excited when she comes on the screen. This was amazing in a "this is hilarious but incredibly depressing because it's completely true" kind of way.

Jessica Williams is awesome. I also enjoyed a similar bit on gun violence with Klepper and Che.
