I love bees. Bees are awesome. There isn’t a fact about bees that I have read to date that doesn’t make me go “wow, bees ARE awesome”. I gave a talk at a church ladies group once all about the magnificence of microscopic discoveries as evidence that God means for us to be stunned and awed by his work of creation, with

I am sorry I am soooooooo very late to SNS and that I only saw this now.

Not nearly as bad as mine looks when I post at Jalopnik!

I really am so so very old. I can’t get my head round why someone would do this media circus thing to their own children, and that’s before the casual cruelty such as this story.

To complicate matters, I am actually a step-grandmother, as I inherited a ready-made family when I married his grandfather, so there is yet another grandmum in the equation. Thankfully she has more or less the same views/attitude as I have about most things, so at least I don’t have two battles to fight.

I don’t know how long this will last, but while he is with me, he doesn’t get to spend any time alone with any form of TV, be it YouTube or Netflix Kids or just plain old terrestrial. Just like when his mother was little, we always watch stuff together, curled up on the sofa under a blankie.

Oh dear Lord, You Tube. My 4 year old grandson was shown some domino rally and marble run videos by his other grandmother and I want to wring her neck soooooooo badly. Some of them are quite clever, for a short while at least.

I. Am. So. Very. Very. Old.

Splott (or Splottlands) is just as grim as it sounds.

As a Brit, I have always wondered what cooking method the American one known as broiling actually is.  To me, it sounds too much like boiling, which should only be done to water for tea or water for potatoes. I think we also have different ideas to what grilling might be.

I’m not posting much at the moment but I had to break my silence to tell you how awesome you are for overcoming much and achieving much. Honestly, what you said here is incredible and wonderful and long may it last.

Oh lovely one, I am so sorry. My honest and sincere thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. You are right, we don’t tell our loved ones how much they mean to us anywhere near often enough, and that shouldn’t be the norm.

I’m in the U.K. and I don’t think shipping is really an option. But there are plenty of different rescue centres here I can try, including a big cat sanctuary I regularly donate to.

That....is an amazing idea! I have a quantity of vintage furs I inherited from various family members which once upon a time would have been considered fabulous but have been languishing in vacuum packs for years. I had no idea what to do with them as obvs they are no good to me or my daughters, but repurposing them

OHMYGODCHRISTMASCAMEEARLY!!!!!!

(Me too, but I didn’t care much for the storyline where it turned out his dwarfism wasn’t natural but that he was a really tall guy who had been magicked or something stupid)

I couldn’t agree more.

I used to like the Asda “Moda” bootcut jeans, and when I heard they were discontinuing the Moda range, bought several pairs.  But everyday trousers, yes, M&S are my go-to, except they seem to have less and less wide leg or bootcut in their jersey ranges which is a shame as they hang really nicely.

I had a quick look at their website and it seems they ship to the U.K. so that might well be an option!
