And they’d have gotten away with it Scott Free if you hadn’t noticed it.

It is known.

Omg I just inadvertently copied your “politics” statement, so sorry! I should really learn to read the comments through before posting.

I’m white, British, born in the 60s and had no idea whatsoever about the politics of black hair until discovering this blog.

Oh. Dear. Lord.

I left my church when they appointed a new Pastor who implemented “sharing the peace” which consisted of moving around the church during the service hugging random people and whispering “the Peace of God go with you” in their ear. I tolerated it at first but when someone who had yelled angrily at me the week hugged me

With you on that second one. But if he really thinks that cartoon depiction of him is anything near what he looks like, he is even more deluded than ever.

Thank you for those links. Watching these wildfires from the safety of the U.K. has been jaw dropping and almost otherworldly for me having travelled through some of those areas only last year on holiday.

I remember seeing a similar event on the news when I was young (in the U.K.) and it scared me so much that every time I travelled by coach anywhere before I learned to drive, I would fixate on every footbridge or overpass as soon as it came into view and couldn’t relax until we had gone under.
