Naw, she was the obnoxious one. As for the laugh, a lot of people laugh when they are made uncomfortable in public; I’ve certainly tittered when my options were limited and escape wasn’t possible. That is how I saw Jerry’s laugh.
My guess is he’ll find a way to work it into his act somehow.
Would you say the same thing though if a guy came up to a woman giving an interview and demand that she hug him, even though she has no idea who he is?

Julia is amazing and has arguably had the most successful career since.
It was only awkward because she ambushed him. And he didn’t know her. And she persisted after being very clearly and openly denied a hug.
And why is Elaine biting George’s glasses? Is that another syndrome?
While I’m sure this was awkward, I kind of love that if he didn’t want to hug, he stuck to it. Nobody should have to do that if they don’t want to—that would make a good Seinfeld episode, tho.
Truly not a hugger, therefore fake. But I’m convinced it’s the touching of hands that has him saying “take the f*ing thing already” through clenched teeth.
