I am walking around my old school, which went from Pre-K through 12th grade. I hadn’t been there in years. I turn around and about ten feet away there’s a little white girl who wasn’t there before, with her head tilted to the side staring at me intently and completely silent. I stop abruptly and look around and

AGH!!!

I work in an office attached to a factory inside a wooded industrial park. The area is huge, and although we have night shift work, it gets creepy and quiet at night in certain areas. There have been a lot of anecdotes from lots of employees about paranormal sightings. These are a couple of my recent experiences.

That’s so scary! I once had an older guy walking around in the entry hall of my grade school ask if I needed a ride home, saying that my mom sent him because she had to tend to an emergency. Since that’s textbook stranger danger talk, and because I was a “walker” (didn’t bus or get rides home) to an after school

My mom, aunt, and grandmother have been telling this story for as long as I can remember.

ooh, this is a good one!

Summer ‘97. I was nine and scared of my own shadow, so this experience only furthered my fear of the world.

It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving about 10 years ago. My spouse was still at work, and our two young daughters were off with my mom, who had picked them up after school. I walked into the kitchen after our dog greeted me at the door.

When I was in 3rd grade (about a billion years ago), I went to this little Catholic school in a very blue collar neighborhood. It wasn’t the best area, but it wasn’t the worst, either—narrow streets with dense rows of duplexes, tiny strips of lawn, and a bar on every corner (seriously). Our house was only five blocks

Baby, that wasn’t the ghost of no Native American woman...that was something *else*.

Whaaaaaaaat that is crazy. I love this story.

Here’s what’s unintentionally scary about your story - a few years ago, someone wrote about an apartment they were living in New Orleans (also a hot spot for voodoo practices!!!) where the same kind of statically, slow, jerky entity would move slowly across the room toward their prone body until it was leaning over

Voodoo dreams

It’s early fall, 2017. We had just fully fenced and added gardens to our backyard, including a lovely fairy path on a narrow stretch of dirt that separated our property from the apartment complex next door. With tall grasses, flowers, and stepping stones it made a magical little space that my daughter loved to run

Ice Storm

I live for this this time of year! I always look forward to reading these spooky stories. I noticed the contest started alot earlier than usual and sadly, it doesn’t get the same front page announcement like in the past; I had to search for it.

Let me just preface this by saying I’m not a writer so please bear with me…

Growing up we always had a ton of cats, and I came to view them as protectors since our home was very chaotic. I could always grab a cat and detach from all the chaos around me.

This happened to me recently and honestly it was the most terrifying thing that has actually happened directly to me. I am pretty sure the ghost of a Native American woman tried to kill me.

First of all- Squeeeeeeeeee! My favorite article/comments section of the year! Now, on to the story...
