Luckily our school district doesn’t require purchasing tickets. However, the students are expected to sell magazines and other crap to pay for the cost. This year they had to raise $10K for the afterprom party, which was a 2 hour bus ride each way to Dave & Busters for arcade games and food. Ridiculous.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t spend $100s on a prom dress and the rest of the gear. I’m just pointing out how totally ridiculous it’s gotten.

I hope proms go out of fashion by the time my daughter gets to high school. Some of those dresses cost more than a freaking wedding dress.

Oh so thankful I am past those days. My daughter is now old enough that we don’t normally have too many repeat viewings of Disney movies. However, I have watched Rogue One about 10 times as many days.

I was just about to post this. As John Oliver points out, Ivanka is purposefully vague and noncommittal in any answers to “hard hitting” questions. She is likable because she is pretty and well spoken. Nothing she has done (at least publicly) supports her claims of being a feminist or a foil to her father’s worst…

There is a Walmart across the street from my workplace. I regularly go to the deli for sub sandwiches. Sometimes I get the General Tso’s Chicken - really just popcorn chicken with sauce on it. Judge me all you want, it’s delicious.
