I liken it to having just discovered feminism, veganism, etc. You’re going to be really loud about it for a while (PATRIARCHY FACTORY FARMING RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES!!!!!)), get it out of your system, then settle down and just live your feminist, vegan, introverted life. I’m so introverted it’s almost pathological and

I don’t have the aversion to small talk that introverts supposedly have. So I get to enjoy everything about being an introvert PLUS the fun of having someone look at you in horror when you try to chit chat in the grocery store line or something. :D

i can imagine reading this book may lead to a lightbulb moment if you’re an introvert who’s been raised in an extroverted home, that’s just hard for me to imagine.

I was an introvert before being introverted was mainstream. ;)

My introverted mom is married to an extrovert. I think she works harder at making it work, but I wouldn’t place the blame solely on his being extroverted - he also has a very traditional and somewhat limited view of gender roles and society in general so I think she’d still be working harder than him, as she’s also

I read a book. I honestly don’t remember which one, but its value to me was actually how it made me understand that extroverts were healthy, normal people, too (you know, provided they were otherwise healthy, normal people who happened to be extroverts.) My experiences actually left me with a superiority complex about

Yes, this. Overexposure leads to backlash.

I read a book some years back (I don’t remember which one) and it was illuminating. But this lifestyle blog thing - I dunno about that.

Well, now I can’t find anything about it, but I’ve read of events where people sit together in a room and read their own book. O__O

Yeah, it’s this “internet lifestyle blog” thing I’m side-eyeing. I don’t need GOOP for introverts.

I’m kind of over “introvert pride.” I had the benefit of being raised in a family of introverts and now 40 years of introversion under my belt, so I work at not eye-rolling too much at people who’ve just discovered that they’re normal and it’s OK. Extroverts and introverts are all OK, but being the minority, we do get

There was an introvert meme a few months ago where the first comment said something like “in before all the extroverts who claim to be introverts.” I thought “oh, is this a thing now?” And it does appear to be.

undiagnosed

As an introvert raised by fellow introverts who accepted her introversion long before people were writing books about it, I’m not sure how I feel about this. Being introverted seems to be the new artisanal olive oil and now someone’s marketing it.

This wuss only shot himself when it looked like he was going to get caught. Waste of oxygen.

Not enough people were killed for it to be a thing. That’s the point we’ve reached.

I give up on America about three times a week.

And yet we’re the ones that get called nazis. Le sigh.

I stopped going to movies very much years ago because everybody else is rude and won’t shut up and most of the movies suck anyway. And now you have to worry about getting shot, too! Fuck that shit - I’m staying home and watching Lost on Netflix.
