Donations for anything like that come from a small number of people. The majority of users don’t care about how much it costs, and want it to be free. It’s the same thing that happens with F2P games, you get a small group supporting all the free users.

New expansions currently offer adventure content for free. It’s harder than the old stuff though.

Metacritic scores yes, but not the user reviews. The contract part would be based on the actual metascore based on professional reviews.

So the solution to loot not feeling varied enough is to make it so you can’t possibly get some of them because it came from a specific season that occured in the past.
