I’m a HARDCORE Golden Girls fan. I actually own the letter Rue McCalanahan received, notifying her of her first Emmy nomination for the show, as well as her college German textbook, a signed DVD of the first season of the show, AND the necklace she’s wearing in this promo pic.

I was in grade school when this show was on and of course didn’t realize how revolutionary it was at the time. But seriously, it’s one of those shows where you think back on it and wonder how on earth it got made. So intelligent! So forward thinking! So liberal!

I would like to start out by saying that I know and love many nurses (my mom was one for 30+ years), I admire and respect the job they do, and Joy Behar is an idiot. Nurses are awesome!
