I think the correct response is with thoughts and prayers

I was just talking about Roe and the recent SCOTUS shenanigans with a coworker this morning. I said, “I guarantee you Roe will be challenged within the next few years.” My coworker didn’t think the Republicans would actually go *that* far and try to strike down Roe.

So what’s the correct reaction when, several years from now, dipshit pro-life women in red states find themselves in Savita Halappanavar’s position, about to leave their first 2 kids without a mother because kid #3 miscarries and will get septic, but she can’t get an abortion because ‘heartbeat’? Because I want to be

Definitely going to make sure I fill out my daughter’s Canadian / dual citizenship form now!

It’s time to stop having sex with men.

Especially “fuck you” to those who did it in swing states. Fuck my friends white, cis, gay male friends who are still trying to say she was as bad. (I am losing those friends as my temper flares)

Doctors will continue to do abortions. For wealthy white women who have insurance and who can afford to be checked into the hospital for a day or two.

This week the Supreme Court decided that it’s unconstitutional to force fake doctors to tell women the truth, but totally constitutional to force real doctors to lie to them. That’s the court we have right now. And it’s about to become so much worse.

With the midterms coming up, I think we’re about to witness the fastest supreme court justice nomination and confirmation in American history.

Throughout this administration I have been shocked, hurt, heartbroken, exasperated, annoyed, and pissed off, but I have never been scared before. But this shit scares me.

This is what complacency looks like  ... we’re paying the price for decades to come...

It’s likely she did not think beyond “her emails” and “let’s mix it up in DC”.

We can’t, the Republicans changed the rules so they only need a simple majority to pass a supreme court justice.

Well. There goes Roe vs Wade.

Why was she not excited? She got exactly what she wanted.

To every person out there that couldn’t stomach Hillary, stomach the next 20 years with a Supreme Court that’s 6-3. and I’ll be surprised if it’s not 7-2 by 2020.

I happened to be standing at the desk of a coworker who voted for Trump when we read this headline. Even she said “great” in a decidedly not-great tone of voice.

This is what will cement Trump’s policies in place for generations. The country is about to be even more of a conservative clusterfuck. Goodbye decisions like Roe, hello a thousand Citizens United.

Commence with the gnashing of teeth and the rending of clothing.  This is so completely terrible.  We are so fucked, even if we take the house the senate and the presidency again these lifetime appointments of the judiciary are going to screw us over and over and over again for years.  I need to go throw up.

Nooooooooo.
