Judging by the trailer, Kate Hudson’s “Brooklyn-ish accent” is actually a pretty solid attempt at a New Orleans (specifically Yat) accent. Contrary to popular belief, most people in NOLA don’t sound like Scarlett O’Hara or Bobby Boucher.

I don’t know where you quit reading the article, but there are three paragraphs that talk about this. The first paragraph (which also includes a link!) is the one starting with “Okay, okay, I’ll stop.”

The article originally said he was 43 years old before it was revised to the (still possibly erroneous) “fortysomething.”

It certainly feels it.

The real mystery is how he was 12 years old in 1992 but 43 in 2019.
