He consented to the search because they told him they have the authority and he was being detained. Which is totally understandable.

People have to start refusing to comply. Every person who goes along with it makes it more difficult for the rest and emboldens the agents to be as heavy handed as they feel they can get away with

Why would he consent to the search? He is a US citizen and thus by law is required to be allowed entry into the country. And if the government siezes his phone which is, ironically, already government property, so what? Let NASA/JPL and CBP duke it out. Unbelievable how much time and money we are wasting harassing

What do you expect from a cowardly rapist shitting up the Ecuadorian Embassy?

She did the same thing with her Brexit comments, going back and editing/deleting when she got called out.

Given that the only public office she’s ever held was a seat on her local town council (although hey, that’s more than Trump can say, I suppose), I’m going to go with no. No, she can’t. Which is why she’s doing a fabulous job of running the Green Party’s credibility right into the ground lately. Some intern should

She hasn’t “preemptively blamed progressives if Trump gets elected”.

I know you’re expecting logic to win out, but remember this is the same country that’s denying climate change and supporting Donald Trump.

So if the Euros trust their government, than the vaccines are safe. But because of Big Pharma, the very same vaccines are poison over in the US?

Pandering to anti-intellectual crowds is how the GOP got taken over by the Tea Party and and we all saw how that turned out in their Primary.

She would have won without the DNC bias. Her strategy was better. Her policy was better. She is more centrist. She is more well-known. I like Bernie, but there’s no reason for this mess right now. He wants us to defeat Trump and that’s what demands our time right now.

If you can prove that the vaccine caused the autism, go for it. Also, accept your nobel prize in science while you are at it.

People don’t trust the government (in this case the FDA) because people like her sow that distrust. Yes, the relationship between pharma companies and the FDA is a little cozy sometimes, but there is no evidence of any effect on vaccine safety. It would be very easy for Stein to say exactly that. But she’s attempting

Fuck Jill Stein.

She’s not wrong, but one of the reasons Americans don’t trust the government on vaccines is because they constantly hear that Big Pharma controls US vaccine policy, which is a blatant lie that Dr. Jill Stein is repeating. She is dog-whistling anti-vaxxers and for her to claim otherwise is laughable.

The Benie or Bust crowd, excuse me, I mean “very genuine Green Party supporters,” keep claiming the MSM, DWS and HRC (why not CIA, too?) are behind this story. Do they not recall the Green Party had a pro-homeopathy and vaccine-skeptical platform until the entire party was swamped by the corporate-by-comparison

There is no scientific evidence that vaccines cause autism. None. And a key component of vaccinations is herd immunization; ergo the more people in that are vaccinated the better vaccinated we are as a whole. Anti-vaxxers are crazy people.

So first you make fun of people for believing any sort of conspiracy and then flat out and state a conspiracy theory as fact. Isn’t there a little cognitive dissonance there?

Nobody likes Bloomberg. Stop trying to make Bloomberg happen.

I feel there’s a free-market fix for this.
