I believe they genuinely don’t mind the help from the Russians. The true MAGA believers think the Russians actually want to help make America great again, an idea that doesn’t stand up to any sort of intellectual scrutiny, much like the idea that Trump actually wants to do the same.

A lot of these people will only dig in deeper as more of this comes out because despite the sophistication of what the Russians did, the average person does not and cannot admit to being wrong or fooled.

Oh my god. It’s so trite, but I’m really happy she survived and is healthy now. Serena Williams is one of the few - possibly the only - celebrity who has shared details about her pregnancy and child rearing in a way that is honest, not for self promotion, and not humble-braggy.

Direct action gets the attention of the entire community, which is what gets politicians to care. And more than that, it tells the kids who are traumatized and need protection right now that 1) they have agency and 2) people care about them. Actions like this promote community and prevent PTSD.
