Bleach and pools threaten the lives of children. But we have the means to protect children from those hazards and guns. You and the author of the article just choose to arbitrarily disregard gun safes because you have a double standard for certain dangerous things.

Bleach kills children. Pools kill children. Many things kill children. However, those things aren’t useful for killing a bad guy who is trying to abduct, rape, or kill your child.
