e30’s did this for me, for all the same reasons. Miatas are on the short list of cars the e30 didn’t ruin for me. They’re basically just a tradeoff between high parts costs + back seat + bigger trunk, for fuel economy + low parts costs.
Both cars are incredibly easy to work on, to the point where it ruins modern cars…
