I’m just looking forward to this being wonderful entertainment.

Because shut up, Kyle.

The fact that they went through four show runners in two seasons explains a lot about those seasons.

Why on Earth was Virginia Madsen dumped?  She was one of the only surviving Congresspeople and as a Republican minority/majority (I can’t remember) leader, made for a good foil our counterpuncher. ...

Where I live, these are often very good schools and the teaching job is a good one. It probably doesn’t seem at the time like your employer will sacrifice basic decency later on while showing you the door. What I’d like to know is why my tax dollar has to subsidize them? They can be bigots if their God tells them they

The pay is better and usually subject to less bureaucratic bullshit. My nominally Catholic girlfriend worked for a Catholic school in Chicago and really liked it. However, she was reprimanded and asked for an explanation when it was discovered (**cough** informant**cough**) that we were co-habitating while unmarried.

I’m all for authenticity and commend Cruise for wanting to do his own stunts but with advent of CG technology, you can have any capable stunt person with relative height and build perform the stunt and digitally paste the actor’s face on them and look totally real.

You are correct. And if Charlotte were born first she would inherit over George. They changed the law of succession prior to the birth of George. So, it’s now first born not first born male.

“Not wanting other races and cultures to invade your culture doesn’t mean I hate their race. Just means I don’t want their cultures invading mine”

“I have no idea why anyone would compare the Trump and Nixon administrations...”

Speaking of that Nat Geo polar bear, maybe conservators should go capture him and bring him back to the New York zoo, where they can get him health and give him a good life. It breaks my heart to see any animal like this:

I’m glad that the zoo took the responsible (and probably very emotionally painful, for the keepers) route of sensible and kind euthanasia in the face of severe geriatric illness. Tundra was a very old polar bear by all standards. I’m sure he will be missed deeply.

I agree with you, but I think it’s a ridiculous situation. Actresses don’t really have any control over which actresses are cast in films, or which actresses wind up on the covers of magazines. Yet every white actress is being called upon to not just care about fighting racism, not just speak to it, but actively do so.

He also lives until 1981 so I hope we get a little bit of old man Tommy Lascelles next season before they’re done with him.

Although “Beryl” may have been the best episodic showcase for Vanessa Kirby’s Margaret, her subtle shift of expressions as Margaret comes to the realization that the present Tony has given her hides an engagement ring may be Kirby’s best scene of the series. I am going to miss her when they recast the role next season.

Meanwhile, a different Peter Townshend was writing his first songs.

I agree. Matthew Goode is playing someone ten years younger but I would argue you need someone with maturity to get Snowden right... Also, I’m not sure why The Crown is being criticised similtaneously for how it represents women and that there was Not Enough Royal Wedding?

Tommy Lascelles is among my favourite characters in the whole series. As someone who has been around the Royals for 30 years, he knows excatly how to deal with each of them and more or less doesn’t have to worry about being fired.

Another aspect of this episode’s female representation that pissed me off: Anna Chancellor is only 13 years older than Matthew Goode and she’s playing his mother.

The man married his adoptive daughter, for fuckssake. He’s disgusting.
