To everyone who has commented on the rarity of babies being born intersex, it really depends on where you draw the line. People can be intersex in a lot of ways, and if you count minor differences (there's an official term for this but I forget— secondary sex something?), the number of intersex people adds up.

Oooh Bridget and the midget!! Over the past few years I can't hear the name Bridget without singing some lines from Trapped in the Closet! Same when someone mentions a package. All I can think of is The Package.

Re: Q is for Questions, it reminded me of this hilarious Saturday Night Live Clip:

I agree as well :)

I'll start getting scared of his documentary when it grosses higher than Justin Bieber's.

Hoooold up. They cut the diplomatic budget and want to keep feeding bajillions of dollars into our military to keep it several times as big as the next biggest military in the world? One more reason...

They totally knew my situation. They also fired someone who took 3 days off when she had bronchitis. Good riddance— so glad I am not working there. But really unhappy that I didn't figure it out before 4 months passed.

I was too. I was in the 1st month of a new job, and they brought people on as temps for the 1st 3 months. Because I took one day off at their insistence, and 2 half days for 2 OBGYN appointments, they did not allow me to be hired on full time. Of course, it's a little more complex than that but I did make the

I definitely don't think that's the case. After mine there was a wide variety of reactions. My sister in particular must have thought it was just like another period because she was critical of me taking a total of 2 days off work.

I am glad you have a good support system and you're comfortable talking about it. Best of luck to you.

Congratulations! Please don't let it change your feelings. Ever since I lost my first pregnancy (now it's four months after the loss, 14 months after starting to TTC), I wished that I was able to be happy with people while I was pregnant. Most people just found out afterwards because I had to bow out of my commitments

Oops, Kinja fail.

I'm four months past a miscarriage as well. I'm starting to feel better about the miscarriage but since we stopped preventing pregnancy last August and now it is past the date when I thought we would have a living baby, worst case scenario (that it would take 3 months to get pregnant), I'm coming up with new

It was 10 years ago, so maybe the latter? But the "alternative" students as well as the international students lived there. On a campus that was literally 95% white at the time, it could have also been perceived as the "dark scary" part of campus to all the kids who came from those small, 100% white Ohio towns.

Myself and most of my friends from Miami went there after getting accepted to other universities out of state, but our folks encouraged us to choose something more affordable. I hope your sister has found living at home suits her better. I was on campus for 3 years but it was Western. Don't know how long I would have

Sometimes Oberlin (and Antioch, when it was open) are really disconnected from the rest of Ohio. Many of the folks who go there come from another state. In-state, you'll graduate from high school and some folks will go to Kent, some to Bowling Green, some to Ohio State, some to Miami, and a handful to those tiny

If you're 26 or under, I'd really encourage you to go on a Birthright trip. As long as you know why they are offer these trips (there are some political motivations), there are a lot of opportunities to get to know Judiasm in the best way possible. I went through Livnot and had a really fantastic experience.

My dad is Jewish and my sisters and I have been welcomed into the Jewish community with open arms. We weren't even raised with any religion and have had to learn almost everything fresh, but no one has blinked an eye. Also, if your mom is Christian then you have a clean slate— go for whatever!

I know, right?

I had this same thought about all the bullying dialogue a while ago. After thinking about it for a short time I decided that the entire conversation was just a really nice sign that some of our society (the folks who aren't worried for life and limb, starving or in danger of being shot) is massaging our culture into
