Eh, I get the feeling he just hasn't had the opportunity to get rid of them yet. It's what, 7 vs 1?

A level of mistrust that isn't really supported by their experiences. And then they place their trust in odd places, like Strand. Who in their right mind would trust him at this point?

"Oooh, look, an interesting character that might be a tad likeable! Let's KILL HER OFF."

Minooka has a lot of suburban sprawl now (so does Channahon, they're "sister cities"). It use to be a tiny little bit of nothing. Channahon was the "larger" of the two and actually looked like a distinct town.

They mispronounced Minooka. Or used an obscure, hardly ever used pronunciation. My father's family has lived in Minooka (or, rather, farm land adjacent from the town) for over 100 years and I've never heard a native Minookan pronounce it like that. Oddly, they pronounced Channahon (where my mom is from) correctly.

They use a lot of modern slang and colloquialisms ("don't make me get off this horse"). I suspect this is, also, suppose to suggest that these people are descendants from modern people (because that's how language works, right? -_-), but they lay it on waaay too thick.

I watched the first four episodes (they were leaked, I know, I'm a horrible human being). The writing and pacing is astoundingly bad. I can't tell if the actors are good or not, because what they're working with his horrible. They're investing a lot in CGI, but everything else is very shabby.

Especially when the house and garage were clearly dirty and junk filled.

Yep. I can believe he did it (I don't believe Brandon did). The evidence was contaminated by the fact that someone clearly wanted to frame him.

I pity the folk who comment on articles about shows they dislikeā€¦

Kirkman has forbidden them from doing any "how did this happen" background, so I am guessing he hasn't fleshed out how it happened. We won't be seeing anything regarding that in this show, it's being set up purely as a "family drama".

So for a while I thought Mr Robot was Elliot hallucinating his father. Around the time he was pushed off the cliff, actually. And, for a while, it did seem like Mr Robot almost exclusively interacted with Elliot.

Oh yeah, I think it was a fairly strong show. Definitely had the potential to turn horrible, though..

I wanted to know, but given how NBC handled "The Event" I'm guessing the answer would have sucked.

Those faces are of dead people.

I'm still sad about The Golden Compass. I'm hoping a future attempt to bring it to screen will be more fruitful. That was my favorite series as a kid.

Most women aren't feeling like having sex after an attempted rape. Add to it that she was sexually abused by her father and that he has a head injury, and it's all sorts of odd.

But, but, but she's a girl and not just eye candy/rapist bait! Of course it's a trope because it doesn't fit my previous tropes! [/sarcasm]

They're heavily foreshadowing and setting up Sam, Gully, and Sam Jr. leaving for the south, so that may be why.

They always kill off the hot guys with sexy accents. It's not fair.
