I used to work in a hotel at the front desk, and I always made the effort to make sure that our guests names were spelled correctly in the system (so we could find them/when their receipt was printed it was correct) and pronounce it right to the best of my abilities. I hate it when people would just be like “*insert

I have a common enough name, but the spelling is a less common version (in America, anyway) and I’ve had so many instances of people spelling it wrong throughout my life. I just don’t even bother anymore, especially if it’s on FB (where you can CLEARLY see my name) or at work (where its in my EMAIL SIGNATURE). Like,

It’s never understandable. He would’ve been at least 15-16 at the earliest so he damn well knew what he was doing.

Mark Judge. And apparently his high school yearbook quote was something along the lines of “certain types of women need to be hit often”

The most baffling thing I find about the “good boy who made mistakes” take is that it can somehow exist alongside the “if she’s telling the truth, why didn’t she go to the police?” takes.

The argument by conservatives that it’s just normal boy stuff is a waste of their breath. Kavanaugh is saying (just like with the confidential email stuff) that it never happened at all. If he confronted it honestly and said, “This is something I did as a drunk child,” and tried to be very, very sorry, conservatives

Look, obviously men should not be engaging in predatory behavior at the office. But I’m worried now the pendulum’s going to swing too far in the opposite direction, and they’ll be held accountable for that behavior, which is not ideal.”

The latest news on the Kavanaugh front, he spoke to Orrin Hatch:

Boy, it’s almost like men can be intelligent, thoughtful and open to discussion and change unless they actively choose to listen to the misogynistic patriarchy! Wild!

Also related: “I hardly recognized her as Madonna,” Lt. Bill McSweeney said at the time. “She was weeping, her lip was bleeding and she had obviously been struck.”

it’s influenced by the things that are developing in terms of the empowerment of women who’ve been acknowledging each other and being acknowledged by men

The spirit of much of what has been the #MeToo movement is to divide [the hands, mouths, and penises of] men and [the bodies of] women.

Had a great conversation just last night about how important men are to the #metoo movement, have also had great conversations with my male boss about misogyny in the legal field and his role and responsibility in actively promoting our female associate including language and perceptions.

Did he misspell ‘girlfriend’ or does he think a 17-year old would not know how to spell girlfriend? Either way, not a good look, jr.

I approve this message.

I cannot WAIT for this asshole to go to prison. I may actually want to see him locked up even more than his father at this point.

If Roma Downey didn’t throw a punch and then yell, “You just got touched by an angel bitch!” she really missed a golden opportunity.

I love her theory that rape and assault are simply hijinks that (white) men grow out of, rather than refining their terrorizing techniques for decades.

I suspect she feels very differently about what the age of accountability is for non-white teens.

Now listen up, McArdle, you complete fucking asshole, I’m older that that smarmy cunt Kavanaugh, and Ive been aware since I was a kid that attempted forcible rape is indeed against the law.
