The Democratic party needs to do better at bringing a diverse group up from the beginnings of their political careers. Waiting for whatever stars align is just letting other factors such as unspoken Jim Crow politics determine who will be Presidential, Senate and House runners.

I will not vote for him in any primary (or ANY candidate of that age who has just had a heart attack FFS!) but you better believe I will show up in the general and will even canvas for him in swing states. I won’t be happy about it, but I’ll fucking do it if that’s what it comes to.
