Because it's not a solo. Incredibly awesome, without question, but not a solo.

That definitely counts. It's improvised, doesn't repeat, and is the focal point of the song.

Well, other than the fact that it's not actually a solo. It's a theme that takes the place of the chorus.

In a similar vein to TGGitS is Yanick Ettiene on Roxy Music's Avalon.

I love that solo, but I hate how it's recorded - or really, how the sax was recorded on that whole album. So thin and buzzy. It just doesn't fit in the mix.

Clare Torry's vocal solo on The Great Gig in the Sky
Gregg Allman's organ solo on In Memory of Elizabeth Reed
Chuck Leavell's piano solo on Jessica
Cliff Burton's Bass Solo on Orion

"Cobain, in his eyes, was a 'selfish asshole' to leave his daughter an orphan."

Yeah - CBT did wonders for my anxiety. It helped train myself to recognize that it's a physical reaction, and to tell that asshole critic in my head to shut the fuck up. I still have attacks, but it's not all-consuming, and I can work through them pretty quickly.

I have a brother with debilitating depression. There is so little I can do to help. Nothing. I have volunteered to set up appointments with therapists (different ones until he finds one he can trust) and get him to his appointments. I've given him leads for jobs. I've made sure he has a working phone at my own

"No, that's German for 'The Cersei, The.'"

That sounds like the most boring show ever.

I live in Saint Paul, MN. It's a good place to live if you can handle the weather. Good schools, great parks (one of the best bike trail systems in the country, and THE best if you include all the regional trails and the MPLS trails, which are all interconnected), great food, good economy - but reasonable cost of

That's definitely a Vonne-WHAT?

Gotcha.

His voice isn't there anymore? When was it there? Gilmore was the best singer in that band by a long shot.

Yet …

Exactly.

In fairness, there really is no need to expose your kids to kids' music when there's so much great REAL music out there that is appealing to kids.

Fuck you.
