That's true. As did many other people. I got my tickets through the Hip Club (of which I have been a member for more than 20 years) and brought my six year old, who sang every word of every song. Yeah, it sucks that people who wanted to get in couldn't, but I would have been one of those people myself had I not

My brother married a Canuck, and at his bachelor party, I couldn't resist saying, "Okay, one of you must be named Gord."

As well you should be! I know just how damn lucky I am. I feel a little bad that I'm taking a seat that could go to a Canadian, but they're my favorite band, too, so … sorry, eh?

Maybe it's just because I grew up so close to the border, but this American thinks he has a pretty good idea. And even if I don't, I have my own love for them, and thanks to you all for letting me peek in the window.

Agreed, but for now you know Gord is going to be all about being in the moment. The future will be what it will be. This moment will be a nation giving its thanks and love to an institution who has helped define the psyche of a generation. Bittersweet, yes, but I can't imagine a more beautiful exeunt.

I'm driving up the 401 right now, an hour from Kingston, on my way to the show. Mrs. Alps is at the wheel, and the little Alp is in the backseat. We are all excited to have the chance to be in the building, even if at the lonely end of the rink, and to be able to be a part of the celebration of a true artistic

On the album, I'm pretty sure he says "fix the pain". Live, he definitely says "Pancakes!"

Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.

I would have figured a Hillary would be when a parter claims to enjoy something you do, usually oral sex, but never does it again once you get married.

It wouldn't be like removing Hermione so much as akin to making Hermione into a slacker with non-muggle parents.

No. Chigurh is death. Malvo is Satan.

I think that IS the prize.

Kill 'em All has a few essential tracks - Seek & Destroy, The Four Horsemen, and Jump in the Fire are all awesome. And if you get the re-issue from 1988, you also get Blitzkreig and Am I Evil? - the latter of which is also essential Metallica, though it is a cover.

Because your jizz (your jizz) is on my list
Because your jizz (your jizz) I can't resist
Because your jizz is what I miss
When I turn out the light

Private, for profit businesses need competition or they become abusive to their customers. Where is the competition? And, really, who are the customers?

Absolutely. MSH is just … not very good. MMD is slight, but it's so, so sweet, in a way that only a song about a beloved sheepdog could be.

Or Belgian Dutch …

I'm not convinced that Betty didn't get the ending she deserved. She was free of the conceits that had made her life so difficult to navigate. She no longer was worried about how her actions might be interpreted, but instead only cared about what their impact on the people she cared for would be. She was at peace

The whole series was a critique of American consumer culture through a Buddhist lens. It's not coincidence that the only time (other than post-coitus) we ever see him at peace is when he's engaged in meditation in the final shot we see him. He has finally let go of his attachments, his preconceptions … his desires.

Am I the only one reminded of Don Martin's "Lance Parkertip, noted Notary Public"?
