That is pretty distressing now you mention it. As bad as his “ideas” are, how lacking they are in anything approaching actual thought and how intentionally regressive they are, if he wasn’t quite such a repulsive human being he would almost certainly be winning this thing.

This is exactly what I have been thinking and saying all along. In an ordinary election year, with other ordinary candidates, one goof up on Trump’s scale would mean curtains for the candidate and Trump makes multiple such on a daily basis and thats no hyperbole - that is FACT.

Basically, the winner of our debates is who remains the most chill. That would be Pence. Pence looked great. He did a great job in that regard. Problem is, almost none of what he said was true.

See I don’t think he would. They don’t love him in spite of him being awful. They love him because of it. A big part of dumb people’s lives is being concerned with whether other people think they are better than you. Trump doesn’t make people think he’s better than them.

The fact that Mike Pence “won” the debate by lying his ass off about (or just flat out ignoring) all the crazy and deplorable shit Trump has said over the last year and a half, how poor of a businessman he is, and how stupid his proposed policies are, speaks to the sorry state of this presidential race very well.
