No, that’s the Undefeated.
No, that’s the Undefeated.
It’s Deadspin’s joke name for Undisputed.
Stephen A. seems absolutely miserable having to sit across from Max.
You’re welcome.
Nice pivot away from the fact that you were dead wrong about me being alone in my assessment of Bauer’s most recent performance.
Take a look at the replies earlier in this thread. Go back and listen to Joe Buck and Jon Smoltz’s commentary. I’m far from alone in noticing that Bauer showcased his best stuff in those first three innings.
Stuff includes command, 25% Meaner. It’s weird that you are trying to make a distinction about that.
Did you watch the game? Addison Russell was the only hitter who worked a good at bat against Bauer in the first three innings. The rest struck out or lined out after a few pitches from Bauer. He had great command of his best pitches, and he was goading the Cubs into swinging out of the strike zone.
Congratulations. You can read a stat line. Apparently, you can’t read a comment, though. What I said was that I was glad a national audience finally got to see how good Bauer’s stuff is. It didn’t last, but up until this point, all people remember of Bauer is the blood dripping off his pinky and the ghastly stitches…
I was glad that a national audience got to see how good Bauer’s stuff can be last night. It didn’t last quite long enough to get a win, but he’s been turned into a kind of freak by the drone injury and the massive blood loss during the NLCS. He can be a really dominant pitcher when he’s at his best, and he was…
That first reason rings true to me. Last Sunday, I was on a train with a group of college students who were all on their phones, chatting about how their fantasy teams were doing. They were talking about the games in real time, as if they were watching them, but of course, they were not. And they did not intend to.…
2000 was a whale of a time! The only game won by more than one run was the one where the Mets prevailed. Clemens went full ‘roid rage with Piazza’s broken bat!
I’m guessing you’re pretty young?
True Cubs fans know that getting to the World Series is a thrill in and of itself. Losing hurts, but getting there has been a roller coaster that’s more than worth the price of admission.
As a Tribe fan, you know to expect to lose, until out 3 is called in the 9th inning in the next game that we win.
Kluber on short rest is not a good idea. I realize he’s our only ace, but he lost the last time we tried this stunt.
Who is that guy? It seems like he’s taking over more and more of Hammy’s middle innings too. It’s like he comes in from a totally unrelated profession to announce a baseball game. I imagine he makes his living reading phone books for blind people or something.
The rest of the post explained exactly what “stuff” means.
Fair point, but the Cubs weren’t getting on base at all last night, aside from a few solo hits. The fact that the guy drew a walk from Miller was a huge victory, and way better production than most of the other guys in the lineup. I just wonder who you would point to as a better hitter to face Miller at that point.
Wait, shy? Schwarber drew a walk off Miller, leading to a bases-loaded threat, the best shot that the Cubs had at scoring all night long.
