To an extent. Optimization isn’t some magical process that can guarantee 60 FPS in every situation. For example, if you create a hub that has 50+ NPCs with complex AI behaviors, that’s going to be very demanding on the CPU. You could reduce the number of AI and/or simplify their behavior but at a certain point, you

If the game’s performance is CPU-limited, then reducing the render resolution won’t make any difference. We’ll have to wait and see how the game performs on PC. Might end up with another Redfall or Jedi Survivor situation where the game just runs like ass on all platforms.

Or most women know that if they talk about gaming around a lot of men they’ll suddenly have to “prove” their “gamer cred” or whatever or be belittled or talked down to or some combination of all of the above so they never let most men know they play video games of any kind, on top of avoiding voice chat because everyon

BUT NO GIRL I KNOW OWNS ONE!

In the replies to Piscatella’s tweets, many have reacted to the data with anger, skepticism, and shitty jokes.

Out of my family growing up, I think our dad was the only one who *didn’t* play video games, and still doesn’t. My mom was always playing monopoly on Gameboy or SNES, and my sister and I (female) were always fighting over the console RPGs.

I gave my mom my old switch when I upgraded to an OLED. She loves the thing. Plays Picross and Phoenix Wright on it, as well as all the switch online classic stuff with our family plan.

I see one of these comments on literally every article where it could tangentially apply. Do you people just never take risks? Do you never ever take any action without reading the EULA or analyzing every single angle?

Actualy yes... very few people post positive reviews on something they didn't like, while it looks like the negative ones are usually created by bots etc...

Have you read the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, you well versed defender of Western culture and history? Have you spent even the time to read a text that’s just 20-page long? Because (SPOILER ALERT) the mermaid fucking dies.

Yes, that’s correct. The negative reviews from botnets in a commonly known type of astroturf campaign are, in fact, bombing by virtue of that being a fact.

Well, where’s all the outrage about her fish-half not clearly resembling any species of fish known to inhabit European waters?

Never had a mover refuse to move a TV not in a box. They move those things all the damn time

You know mermaids are fantasy creatures, right?

Do you think commas and apostrophes are woke too? And proper syntax? And not saying stupid things?

Whatever their review weighting system is, it can’t possibly be worse than letting randos on the internet determine the score

Despite the quality a lot of the time, I think it still sells well enough for WWE/2K to ignore most issues.

I just figure anybody who hasn’t worked really hard on something that didn’t turn out that great just hasn’t ever worked really hard on very many things.

Ubisofts market cap is about $3 billion. A $2 billion dollar deal seems like a massive risk for them to even consider.

I didn’t get that excited for this showcase. They showed some interesting games for sure and some were new IPs, but there was no WOW moment for me. These days we seem to be lacking WOW moments that take the gaming industry by storm. The last big one I can remember is Geoff Keighley surprising us with Elden Ring at the
