I really think this article is missing what is actually happening here. This is akin to trying to stop the industrial revolution by burning down factories. It’s not going to make any difference, this revolution is happening, and attacking tools is just leading people to targetting their outrage in the wrong direction.

I’m so sorry you’re this unhappy, but trolling people on the Internet won’t help you feel better about yourself. Please talk to a therapist.

I’ve never finished a single 3D Zelda game, but games like The Minish Cap, or Link’s Awakening, are at the very top of my list of favorite games.

But, I mean, that same logic also applies to this article, and to your comment about it, and to my comment about yours. The NYT can publish whatever they want, people can complain about it when they want, then people can complain about the complainers, you can complain about the complainers who complain about the

The economy is doing fantastic, comrade! Game Over!”

Personally, I won’t be supporting either of these two games, but I do understand why other people treat them differently. Rowling lives in a free country and has the ability to say whatever she wants. She has chosen to use that freedom to attack very vulnerable people.

Thanks, Obama!

Getting as many games into your collection as possible is the new Pokémon.

Agree, she was fantastic in 24, an amazing actress, and apparently also a great human being. This sucks.

People always tell on themselves.

Thank you for providing this context. I went from “this person was dumb” to “this is a dangerous job, and with three kids, it’s very likely that she also has a lot of stuff to do outside of work, and might just have been very tired.”

Not where I work now.

This is not a good take. It’s great if games have high top-end requirements, because it means that they keep looking better in the future as you update your PC.

This is not a smart take. People aren’t prescient.

Yeah, I played through the first one when it came out, couldn’t put it down. I stopped playing the new one after a few hours. The main change they made (remove the grid) made the game feel worse to me, and other than that, it’s more of the same.

Being horrified at AI-generated art is like being horrified at photo cameras because you think it puts painters out of business. It’s a tool that can be built in an unethical way, or in an ethical way, and that can be used in an unethical way, or in an ethical way.

I hope we can just agree that all of these people suck.

Everybody should have seen this coming, which is why it’s just false to claim that “actual artists are generally horrified by the practice.
