Thing is that 300k on a truck isn’t as big a deal as on a non-truck. I had an S-10 that drove horrible from the factory that got to 315k before it died a drunk driver caused death. The engine was shoved into the firewall and it still drove up the flatbed under it’s own power. I have a coworker that got 350k out of his

Roof Top Tent

17 is optimistic. If you drive with the flow of traffic (75-80 by me) 14-15mpg highway is pretty standard.

Mice are the demise of all RTTs and Pop up campers up here in the northeast. Those mattresses are so warm once you chew them to pieces!

This is a hunter’s truck. I’ve known plenty of people that this would tick all the right boxes. Basically $18k for the truck and $8k for the add ons. As for why, he’s probably ready to build a new one.

You gotta get up high so when you wake up to take that social media selfie you get beach/woods in the pic, not the trash barrel and homeless fella on the picnic table.

The biggest issue with RTT’s is that you can’t leave them at your site unless they are mounted to your off road trailer. Whenever you want to drive somewhere you have to remove some of the stuff in the tent* and fold it up. The rest of your group may leave their tent at the site and be able to just drive away. I’ve

Never have/never will understand the appeal of these ugly things. If you want to camp, then stick it on the ground, so that when you get up to pee in the middle of the night after that sixer of Butt Light, you don’t take a 6-foot first step outta the tent.

My vote is for the “Ford Mobility Thing”. it has a nice ring to it.

But it used Mercury Sable headlights, so it was extra insect-like

Probe-E!

That generation of Taurus sold in Australia because Ford thought it was a good idea. It sold in the hundreds.

Deleted because I’m just grumpy.

What happens then?

So...it’s a tall Mach-e auto?

To be clear, we don’t know what it’ll be called. It’ll be Mustang-inspired, but might not actually carry the name.

“I’m just glad I didn’t buy a minivan like some boring dad

Calling this thing a Ford Probe would actually be great.

When Ford wanted to make a front wheel drive Mustang, they changed their mind and called it a Probe. Maybe they should do the same with this Mustangish mobility thing.

I guess it’s better looking than their other crossovers. But that’s like being the best tasting non alcoholic beer.
