S-10 Blazer (in a two door 4x4 with the 4.3L engine) is not so terrible for the Blazer legacy. You can always take a sawzall to the roof...

But... that might change fast if every dummy on the road had a nuclear device in the car. I agree that nuclear power is better/cleaner/safer... as long as it is in nuclear power plants.

Believe it or not, transporting 5 adults is easier than 1 adult and 1 baby. Hatchbacks might be ideal cars before you have kids, but then wagons become significantly more ideal... Now if only someone would make more wagons.

It is possible he sees Picard as more of his own thing. For Xavier, he had to pick up and be a character from established stories. He defined Picard. It might also help that this is billed as a “limited series”. Reprising a role he defined with a lesser obligation might be a reasonable venture.

I have been really into the uni-ball ONYX (0.5mm) lately. The ink can bleed through a little bit on the cheapest of paper, but I rarely have a problem with it. The tip feels just right to me; after a while of writing with these, I can’t go back to supposedly “fine” (0.7mm) pens.

Is 12oz really important? I see 16oz ones all over the place. My current one came free, it was promo merch from the local port authority. It seems like it would be fine to leave 4oz of air in it...

Looks nice, but I have a really visceral reaction against mail clients that require some sort of login. They justify it with added features, but all I really want is a good desktop UI for mail that fits within the email spec.

There are a couple of reasons, for people who are interested in the general state of security:

I still trust PGP more than encrypted messaging apps. At least Signal is open source, but using anything with a closed source and a corporate oversight is just asking to be surprised later on down the road when your conversations were not as private as you thought.

I would prefer IFS, to be honest. I drive off road in an IFS vehicle, and I am perfectly happy with it. Not rock crawling, just getting places. But I do feel like anything based on an IFS pickup platform is much more of a competitor to the 4Runner than the Wrangler.

Ah, I must have missed a teaser image in there. I see the “under a sheet” one now. Yeah, wheelbase looks smaller than I expected. Still, IFS and 4 door, I am sure. Square corners are one thing. I guess from a design perspective that might compete with the Wrangler? But as an overall package, I am not sure that matters

I feel like the new Bronco is going to be a much closer 4Runner competitor than a Wrangler competitor. Expect a 4 door SUV with IFS and a not-very-short wheel-base. If they base it on the Everest (current foreign market SUV based on the Ranger), it might be long enough for third-row seating. And, frankly, they would

My understanding of those numbers is that they include a projection of the effect of voluntary health insurance droppers on the health of the overall market. So some people will voluntarily drop healthcare, but others will lose the ability to afford healthcare because the market is propped up by the mandate. Those

I wanted a cheap 4x4 and I got an ‘89 S10 Blazer. Only 4x4 truck that is not cool. Sure, only so capable and no aftermarket, but I just want something relatively rugged to do some mild desert driving. The cost of most old 4x4s has gotten stupid. I have a neighbor trying to sell an ‘88 Bronco II for $4k+, and the

I have an ‘89 S-10 Blazer that I bought cheap for running around in the desert. It feels sturdy (on the outside; interior finish is terrible), drives nicely, and looks great. What more could you want?

I almost bought one of these a couple of years ago. Sure, it was not as perfect, but it was way cheaper. I don’t think I could go in for $10k.

Good enough that I would keep watching it, but not good enough that I would keep paying for it.

I agree it was one of the better Discovery episodes, but I also think they are doing themselves wrong with prequalitis again. For instance, I think this episode could have been made better with a villain other than Harry Mudd. I don’t feel like he really fits. Why do we need to retread old characters to make this

I have been feeling the same way about Discovery. To me, Star Trek is at its best when it is somewhat bite sized. Some of the best of classic sci-fi writing is tied up in short stories, why can’t we have the equivalent in TV? Do I always need to commit to a novel to see a good idea played out in drama?

Yeah! Nothing says “first world problems” than a farmer losing crops due to natural disaster!
