I don't think I want to live forever, or even 1200 years. Perhaps a little longer might be nice, but I find it hard to fathom what I would do in those extra 11 decades.

It would seem like a bit too much complexity in a product line from an Apple point of view. They normally try to avoid that sort of thing.

I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but I have yet to find a suitable replacement for EndNote. Using EndNote basically means I need to use Word or Pages, but I find it's function so valuable that I don't consider options that won't mesh well with it.

@Timmy: Really though, the RAR thing is more like a burglar telling another burglar that it is faster to use a crow bar that you need to assemble when you get to a house than to carry that heavy single piece crowbar all the way there.

I suppose it has some potential, but what kind of service infrastructure will need to be built to keep track of them all?

No jealousy, right. Can we really make the claim of the absurdly communal human family group making their way through life without competition?

I wonder if translations count as different books. Even more interesting, would different translations (by different translators) of the same source count as the same book?

@caraciani: I don't think they mean ever written. For Google's purpose, only books currently in existence count.

I can't say I've ever washed a chicken. What's the point? I am going to cook it anyway, and its not like rinsing it is going to do much good in the long run.

I want some, but I bet they will be expensive. I suppose if they turn out to be good tires too they might be worth it; unfortunately, most novelty items like this are not as functional as their boring analogues.

I think we are making a faulty inference from the available data here.

I'm somewhat torn on the matter. It will be nice to be able to check my e-mail on the train or text people if I am running late, but it is kind of nice right now that the subway is like a phone free sanctuary.

I recently got a Kindle 2. I really enjoy reading on it, but with such a recent buy I would be a little bit unhappy with an update.

I do love the trackpad on my Macbook Pro, but I also still use a mouse when I am sitting at a desk. Sometimes I will move back and forth between the two while I work, but the mouse is more comfortable for long bouts of work.

@timgray: Obviously a bunch of people have decent car stereos involved in their commutes. I had not considered this all that much.

My life has taken a particularly nomadic turn lately, so I have been desperately trying to get rid of more clothing. I find it rather difficult, actually. If I count comfortable clothing that I can wear outside in the hot NY summer and dressier things I need to look good at work, I find I am already over the limits on

I usually just turn my phone off, but have done the airplane mode a couple of times. More often than not, if I am in a position of not getting a signal I don't need my phone at all.

While I would say I can tell the difference between Pandora's normal and high quality streams (it isn't much...), when I am in a position to listen to Pandora on my iPhone I am unlikely to also have the headphones and environment to notice or enjoy that difference.

I stream far more often than I exchange my one DVD. Sometimes I wish they had a plan with just streaming. The only sad part is that licensing still holds back the catalog to some degree.

I would not go as far as saying it is my favorite Zelda game, and I definitely had some misgivings about it before I played, but I cannot say that I was not completely sucked in the moment I got in the boat and started navigating under sail.
