Totally disagree—I absolutely detest spoilers—especially the flippant use like the opening of this article. There's no good reason to do that unless your sole goal is to ruin things for people! There is no such thing as a "spoiler-free review", and anyone who is reading a review of something before they've seen it

I don't think you can separate the two—if you are making a large quantity of cheap garbage, it's still garbage and you're not going to get anyone to watch. In fact, if you water down the quality of your shows, you are just going to lose the viewers that you do have.

I think more episodes is the opposite of the solution that is needed. Most of these shows tend to drag on and have poorly-written filler episodes due to the shear number of episodes that need to get done each year. Perhaps one reason why many of the cable shows are called "better" is because they pare down the season

It's on DVD in UK if you have a region-free player. I was able to get the first season on Blu-ray from a seller on Amazon UK for less than $15 shipped. It is not region locked, but has some PAL ads at the beginning which stopped the PS3 from being able to play. Worked fine on PC, Samsung BD player.
