The Japanese have realized Western Gamers actually want to buy all of the things!? This... this is a sign of the Gaming Armageddon, isn't it? I'll be off constructing a Pip-Boy now.

That's the second time I've heard recently of an unlikely Japanese game suddenly being ported to the PC and making it to Steam well after it was originally released. The start of a new trend? I'd be greatly pleased if that were the case.

Whoa whoa whoa, bub, there's quite a few good indie games. I originally pirated Don't Starve, read up on how it gets constant updates, dug it then bought it. It seems to update every month, and that's just awesome. Plus it's super easy to make custom content, mods for it, etc, which is also pretty sweet. Someone made

"Ahahaha, Linux will never be user friendly enough to be popular" say a lot of people who have some problems realizing what Android actually is.

True, but for gamers every choice of Linux is scuppered by "well the games library isn't very good".

linux has maybe 95% of relevant indies on its platform. me thinks valve/gabe has a greater grasp and vision of where games are going instead of what the triple A industry dictates by needlessly upgrading graphics engines for smoke and particle effects (which of course, have not made games anymore fun.)

Huh?

Eh, I'd argue for many those $5 indie games are more memorable than many larger $60 games. I certainly cared more about Gunpoint than most other big games this year.

you're not getting the point: the support is already there for linux.
just as sony is doing with its indie support on the ps4, linux has been in that position for years now and it's starting to pay back.
understand that up to this point there has been a very slow process for linux to become a suitable gaming OS in the

"That'll be a Linux box, [and] if you want to install Windows you can. We're not going to make it hard. This is not some locked box by any stretch of the imagination." - Gabe Newell about the steambox ( http://www.polygon.com/2013/1/8/38528… )

so 'amnesia: a machine for pigs', 'gone home', 'bit.trip runner 2', 'thomas was alone', 'hotline miami', 'FTL' are not enough recent titles for you? and the list is growing in a daily basis if you keep an eye over new releases (including all Valve games: DOTA2, L4D2, Portal and both Half-Lifes). hell, even 'fez' and

i don't know if you're aware of this, but all the examples you're giving me here are in fact walled gardens. how am i able to use smart glass especification outside windows? what advantage does use xbox music gives me against carry on my mp3s on my cellphone? how the hell am i supposed to use office in my linux pc

I swear that joystick nub had a life of it's own. 3 minutes after opening the box it's no where to be found, then a year later I found the little bastard in my sock drawer. Solid pads though, last forever!

Speaking of retro game pads, I loved this controller:

My parents let me see 18+ films when I was 12. Likewise they let me play mature games.

No, I actually didn't. I had parents who took it upon themselves to judge my maturity. They didn't lazily turn to arbitrary rating systems created by middle aged men with limited to no experience in psychology or developmental psychology. Maybe your lazy parents should have taken more of an interest in your cognisance

Yes, Grand Theft Auto invented misogyny. What?

I was playing Grand Theft Auto when I was 11 and I didn't suffer bad parenting. Maybe kids are just more able to distinguish between fantasy and reality over here in Europe.

I don't know if I have the same issue with this that most of you do. I mean at that age I was playing Mortal Kombat where you rip people in half, rip the head and spine out of their bodies, shatter them in tiny frozen pieces and punch them into oblivion.

The fuck? are you retarded? He's like...10, he's bound to learn anything related to gta anytime soon anyways. You act as if a child's innocent gets kept forever, once they reach the age of 7 the word innocent doesnt exist to them anymore, they're just like everyone else, and no matter how hard you try, they WILL have
