Except you can't. The game library is different.
Except you can't. The game library is different.
Ouya killed their family and ran over their dog; that's why Kotaku commenters love to troll the hell out of any story about it. They seek revenge.
The appeal for me and many others was as an indie console. From what I've seen so far, there are a few dozen indies that are in development for Ouya, though most (I believe) are also going to released on the PC.
I was really shocked at the price of Towerfall, but I ended up buying it and it is well with the price. The game is totally addicting!
They don't share the same game library.
How does your phone do everything Ouya does? They don't share the same games library.
Ouya and Android phones do not share the same game library. The notion that it just plays Play store games has continually been promoted, but the evidence for such a notion has been conjured out of thin air.
That's like saying "I have a PS, so I have no need for an Xbox".
I read a comment by someone once saying that FPS-style games are meant to be played with a gamepad over a keyboard and mouse. I really should have taken a screen shot and saved it. That was just priceless.
You don't have to back something to read about it. Furthermore, you can find this information on their website and on various press articles.
This is precisely why I got it: indie games
It's been out there from day 1 on the Kickstarter that this isn't a "cell phone game player". But for some reason, this has continued to be the biggest misconception about it.
I backed mine on day 1
"Android phone" and "Ouya" are not synonymous with each other.
I have to agree. I mean, if given the choice, I'll gladly take everything on a PC, but regardless, I have always used both.
FFX was the only game I kept playing because I really wanted to know what happened next. I was on the edge of my seat, you could say. It continues to be my favorite console game.
I loved the characters (though Kimari became useless early on), and I really enjoyed the soundtrack. I also really, really loved blitz ball.…
All my media is kept on 2 external drives (I have about 4 tb worth). But yeah, I've got no problem with bluray and 1080p content.
I gladly run XBMC on my HTPC and I love it. It sure beats running everything through a file browser.
Stop making sense; Ouya haters don't appreciate that much.
They are in their own niche market, which seems to be that of the microconsoles (Ouya and Gamestick). It's not a phone (though it share the OS), it's not a PC, and it's not a big-name console. I funded Ouya in hopes that it would be a console for indies, and it's really shaping in to that.
The platform people choose…
