Chad is the name *White* people pick when they want to signify "Obnoxious White Guy".

Had a Black female friend who, while in college and dating her (White) high school sweetheart (also future & present husband and coparent), caught flack in the school paper for not giving Black guys a chance. She…was not amused.

Oh god, Hotep Rorschach…this is not something the world needs.

I've never been big on those kinds of lists in any form. But when White folks talk about who they find attractive, they're not going to make a big deal of the peoples' race…in public, at least. And I haven't been part of any of those conversation in private.

…it wouldn't have been anywhere near as good.

Thing is, Hillbilly Joe is probably a lot likelier to have Black relatives than Progressive Tom.

You can have "good" green bean casserole the way you can have California "pizza". Just because it's tasty and technically similar doesn't mean it's the same thing.

I was thinking it was going to be a rant, but it ended up using the movie to switch to serious talk about interracial relationships. Which is like using Nightmare on Elm Street to talk about dream interpretation, but…

Well, unless you got some Black Widow deal going on that you haven't mentioned…

Yes.

Irony is that I *like* fruitcake, but I know it's just tradition and obligation that keeps it on the shelves.

Bingo. I know nobody likes it because it is never, *never* served outside of a Thanksgiving spread where everyone is free to fill up on food they actually like.

If it's any consolation, White people don't really like it either.

Not White ≠ Black.

Paranoia and violent death, and yes.
