That's also Ryan's Law.
That's also Ryan's Law.
Hush, you.
Two very different features. G2G concentrates on one item to get you into something, and Primers provide more of a macro focus. And this right in the wheelhouse of how long Primers are. We can't mention every band!
Yeah, I didn't want to open that whole can of worms. But Green Day wasn't the first band to do it, either. Just about all of Lookout's bigger bands walked away.
Ah, yeah they would've been good to mention.
Well said.
Same here! You'd think these quotes wouldn't work on their own like this, but you'd be WRONG.
He is getting his own show!
Thanks. He's a pleasure to talk to.
Me too! I emailed Andy literally the day it was announced & said we needed to do an interview, so this has been two years in the making.
Big Drill Car wasn't pop-punk. I don't think Chemical People were, either. Having melodic or poppy elements doesn't make you pop-punk. Like I said above, it probably sounds like we're splitting hairs, but we we had to keep a fairly narrow focus.
Oh he wrote about SF changing in the song "The Satanists Convene": http://www.youtube.com/watc…
F2F is a melodic punk band, not pop-punk. It may seem like we're splitting hairs, but Face To Face isn't pop-punk.

Well that's great to hear. Thank you.
it's not really a "justification" so much as we wanted to create a new part of the site that wasn't beholden to the other verticals. Yes, the comedy section was created in part to house Podmass, but it was never a perfect fit, because we cover a lot of other types of podcasts.
Here's the thing about the old layout: Stuff that was on the feature roll disappeared within hours—as in disappeared off the homepage altogether, where it was never seen again. You're right in that the new layout is much more egalitarian, but at least all you have to do is scroll a bit to find a story, whereas before…

We definitely run fewer reviews…because no one was reading them. When we ran 10 or more a week, the bottom half were getting no eyeballs, and that's not sustainable. We run a lot of music content, just not in review form.
Cameron's column posts in the AUX section, which means it doesn't need to be related to film, TV, or other entertainment. AUX is for the stuff that doesn't fall into those other categories.
