I was very confused that this was somehow not already a movie released in 2004.

it also weirdly thematically makes sense that C-lister like peacemaker would have a show that looks sort of cheap.
I always thought it was shitty that he played “AC” on Smallville, and formed a mini Justice League with Clark, Green Arrow, Cyborg, and Impulse... And then when they made an Aquaman TV pilot they cast... Justin Hartley, who had just been Green Arrow next to Ritchson. Granted, he couldn’t act his way out of a paper bag…
Alan Ritchson, perhaps best know for playimng
But let’s be honest: as good as Bosworth can be in movies, she was all sorts of wrong as Lois Lane.
Spooner’s sexuality itself seems a natural development; the actual conversation, however, was agonisingly clunky - they may as well have turned around to talk directly to the camera about A Very Important Subject...
I imagine a major reason for MacDormand’s departure is that her role was entirely to spout witticisms from the book’s narration, which all felt far more Pratchett than Gaiman, and they didn’t want to try to recreate that without him.
Somewhat surprisingly—given the many rumors that have cropped up about that particular set—Affleck doesn’t then go on to namecheck Joss Whedon as a source of that misery.
Mr and Mrs Smith at least had the good sense to base itself almost entirely on Pitt’s and Jolie’s chemistry. I don’t think it’s an awful movie, but it certainly did nothing to suggest any particular talent from its writer.
Dang, just watched The Last Duel the other night and she was excellent in it. All the actors modulated their performances for each section, for sure (except maybe Affleck, who was very fun), but her adjustments were quite nuanced and impressive - it was her movie, by the end, which I reckon is what they were going for.
Ok - I thought I was crazy when I read this because that IS what happens in the episode. About 32 minutes in. She shrinks the van, he makes the Scott quip, and then the owl scoops up the van and flies away.
At one point in Spaceballs, the characters watch themselves on a VHS tape of the movie they are currently making so they know where to go next.
He prefers to call it a “Hail Mom.”
EVERY pass is a “Hail Mary”!
This may be very age-specific or even me-specific, but “Underdog” is an animated dog that shines shoes, talks like Wally Cox (you know, him) and is constantly flying off to rescue Sweet Polly Purebred.
I would absolutely watch a movie about Belichick and the Patriots’ dynasty that had all the cadences and beats of a standard rousing sports movie, but all the big story moments are just Belichick and the franchise gloriously embracing ruthless amorality.
I think they vent the whole ship when they go into battle. I guess it’s to prevent explosive decompression if they get holed. Also I would imagine a hole venting into space might create some thrust, however small, in an unwanted direction.
I’m guessing the ships you’re thinking of have flipped around and are doing a deceleration burn at the time.
