Last week I left a short comment disparaging Rime as kinda meh but I would like to retract that comment as Rime won me over wholly by the end and joined the rare club of games (joining red dead redemption and gone home) that made me cry.

Yeah, it’s not really a good own, just stating of the obvious to an overpaid shithead. I dun got clickbait’d!

Cop Unions aren’t really unions so much as hyper-facist murder justification orgs.

I missed the morning discussion so I’d just like to drop in and say I’m playing Rime, it’s kinda meh and Metal Gear Survive is the cruelty and alienation of capitalism personified. Marx would be spinning in his grave if someone told him about MGS before he died somehow.

would you prefer “hilarious architectural accident”?

It’s been over 15 years. If this mini series came out in 2003 I could understand, and maybe I’d sympathize with you in 2009 but it’s 2018. We’re coming up on the 20th anniversary soon. Hell 9/11 is almost old enough to vote!

That actually sells me on it. I feel like I’m not ready for another big, giant huge game.

Yeah like Chum said. The original Escape Goat is basically the same game sans some of the crazier mouse powers. Still very good.

In terms of actually wrapping up the plot, MSG4 is pretty dumb overall I’d say, but the big buildup to that wrapping up and your final showdown with liquid ocelot is so satisfying that I’d still recommend trying to figure out a way to play it. Then again, if the camera is wonky you shouldn’t feel like you’re missing

Philosophy shmilosophy you just like it for those giant talking hamsters with fucked up cadence, don’t you?

Yeah, I thought that they were just trying to hammer home the “hey things are back to normal for old Jack” but those boring as hell farm quests only make the big reveal that much better.

Red Dead still holds up because it committed to being a dedicated Wild West Sim and not just GTA on horseback. If they wanted to coddle the players they wouldn’t have made you heard cattle with Bonnie McFarlane (the best girl in the game) but they wanted you to feel like a ranch hand. It also lands some of the best

Nier’s first path is basically a pretty good anime level plot, but once you start rolling down the others it upgrades to a really good anime plot and then suddenly a ‘holy shit this is why people love this!’ level plot.

That second clip is some damn impressive trap work.

Do you guys remember Xbox Live Indie Games? Those weird little hobby games that Xbox dumped on xbox live with no ceremony whatsoever? nybody could make them and I think the most successful were cheap Minecraft clones but there were some gems in there. One such gem, got a sequel on PS4 I’ve been playing recently, Escape

I said it to the very nice lady on the phone when I unsubscribed late last year (they make you unsubscribe over the phone!) but if you could pay for just the news without the opinions, I would pay for that. But I can’t give money to a paper with an opinion section that embarrassing.

Wait what really? Shows what I know about what makes it to console. Goddam I sunk a lot of hours in M&B back a year or two ago. It’s just a very easy game to look up and suddenly realize you’ve spent months playing and now you own your own castle and hot damn now i want to play it again.

my bad! And kinja doesn’t let you go back and edit so I’m stuck with that flub now.

I’m talking about the one for 3ds. It works flawlessly on the system sans those annoying telescope parts where you use the system to look around. That’s always embarassing as my wife looks over and I’m fidgeting around on the catch trying to get a good look at toad...

I would put it up there as the best handheld Mario game (not counting Super Mario World as handheld even though you can play it on GBA) but I am a sucker for full 3D mario games so it doesn’t touch those imo. Still a lot of creative level design and some genuine challenge in the final world. I even played on a 2ds and
