Well yeah, of course it was. Ryuji is too much of a ding-dong to have a girlfriend. It would've ruined the immersion!

I just finished the UC collection not too long ago. 2 really is the peak in that trilogy.

Just wanted to chime in to say your opinion is factually incorrect.

From my understanding all the sequels are garbage and only the original scratches that Anime X-Com itch. Maybe I'm wrong tho as I've never played the sequels.

I'm about to start Palace 3 in my world and am really looking forward to it. They telegraphed Makoto the huffy School Council President from a thousand miles away and I feel like I can read the anime archetype well enough to know that she's going to have a few layers to her onion. The next ding dong they're

Ryuji has one motto; "No Mo' Rules". He even wears it on his shirt. What more could you want for motivation?

Still slowly plodding through the adventurous life of a Japanese High Schooler/Ocean's 11 member in Persona 5. I've only added one extra character to the main trio right now and they telegraph the next bunch of characters really obviously but I wince thinking about having to go through all the explainers of Palaces

If you would've told me last year that two of the frontrunners for game of the year were two obscure-(ish) JRPG-style games (Nier and Persona 5) I would've laughed out loud. "JRPGs are a shadow of their former popularity now and mostly used for anime trash level stories"

BoI is the one that never caught on for me (never got rebirth or any of the later iterations) and darkest dungeon was the one that made me fall off the wagon (does that metaphor work here?). I bought it and loved the aesthetic just wasn't into the grind.

That was the one I couldn't remember the name of but remember your guy doesn't have a head! The weapon system looked cool from the videos I saw.

I caught some of the Mirror's Edge and Super Monkey Ball runs on SGDQ and need to try and catch some more this weekend. I like to put it on when doing chores like dishes as you don't need to pay that close attention but I rarely catch it on a game I care about.

The amount of time before the game, kind of lets you off your leash is really frustrating. I just finished Palace numero dos and found the character you pick up there to be kind of annoying but he is so powerful in combat that I had to sub out Ann for him. All of the characters border on anime tropes but I am hoping

Of those three games, I would say Witcher 3 is probably the easiest to pop in and out of for long periods of time. You can pop back in after not playing for weeks and do a nice quest and be like "oh yeah that's how combat works" then look at a cool mountain and log off. It took me a few months to beat that game and

If you've never played Final Fantasy VI (I think they're calling it III for this collection) you're gonna be in for a treat my dude.

how Disqus wiggled it's way into every site practically despite being a step down from most rudimentary commenting systems is beyond me. I guess it's nice to have carry over.

There's as many Rogue-likes on steam these days as there were knock-off Taking Back Sunday bands in the mid-00s. All you really need though is Downwell, Spelunky and Rogue Legacy. Though of course everybody is talking about Hollow Knight and the one where your head is like a diamond or something right now.

Yeah despite Hero being almost entirely silent, he seems to draw character from his interactions with Ryuji especially because of how they wrote Ryuji to have so much respect for Hero and his opinion of things.

Goddam is Persona 5 good. I just finished the Madarame Palace and am now killing time until the end of the exhibition. I like that the games reward for finishing these things ahead of time is finally giving you the free time to do things like go shopping for books and eat burgers. I feel so compelled to finish the

Join us on the consoles my friend, where nobody talks and you just sort of have to intuit what your teammates are gonna do. Though you can highlight flags and be like "PLEASE GO THERE" if you're squad leader.

Just Cause 2 is still unmatched (especially with mods, get mods) as the ultimate dink around and have fun open-world game. Such a blast to just navigate that world and having a super cool grappling hook helps.
