I'd give the whole first season a go if you were going to try to get on board, because it does have some bearing o the second season, and I just think it's a great 10-episode run. Admittedly, I think the last half of the season is better than the first few episodes, but if you find it tedious and uninteresting, it

Whoa. "Terribly dull" is not something I've ever heard when describing Banshee. It's the best genre, pulp fiction, action show on TV. Hell, it's one of the best shows on TV, no qualifiers or genre descriptors needed. That first season arc is pretty perfect, and it only gets better each season, IMO.

Everyone should absolutely be watching 'Banshee'. Its third season is sitting at the top of my list for the best of this year. If it wasn't on the other guide, I (and I assume a bunch of other writers) would have nominated it.

The first season of Halt and Catch Fire is spotty, but it showed promise. If you haven't watched Six Feet Under though and feel like being in a consistent state of existential angst for the weekend, then yeah, totally watch that.

Much, much worse.

That's right! Thank you!

I've criticized 2 unnecessary nude scenes. Not sure that counts as an "obsession." Also, the critique has absolutely nothing to do with cable or streaming shows being allowed to show nudity. Obviously, nudity in general is not a problem. Nudity used for gratuitous purposes is certainly worthy of examination though,

I think that's an interesting point. I've also read much of the same, though I've never heard the orgy part; only that they would surround them with beautiful women. Either way, I think the critique stands, in that it's more about how the scene is shot and how it comes across. I'm not convinced that it's in the

Agreed! That's what this is all about! Always great seeing people engaged with the show and the writing.

I totally see your point, but I think it works either way. We can disagree on the semantics, but it's the actual actions that are important. Your point about the writers giving us characters that rationalize Finn's behavior is interesting. To be honest, I'm not convinced that's the case, but it's an intriguing angle

You can obviously disagree, but I think it's pretty clear that I don't mean just the Raven quote. I'm using that as evidence, but the "by the end of the episode" suggests that throughout the episode, the deliberation surrounding the massacre by anyone other than Finn or Clarke seems insubstantial. Also, I put it in

Noted! Thanks!

I spent most of the episode thinking about what a great Bond he'd make. And he's only 4 years older than Daniel Craig, so certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

Ha, yeah, definitely no Sex Pistols in the screener version I watched. Glad to know they put something good in there though. I guess the show doesn't ALWAYS have a terrible score.

Ah yes! Thanks for pointing out the correction.

Yep! Thanks for picking up the typo. It's been fixed.

As critics, we swear an oath to make as many people look like fools as possible.

I am. Oliver had to drop out of the Gotham beat.

Thanks to everyone who pointed out that Cobblepot said, "he'll see the light". I still don't trust him (obviously), but that portion of the review has been edited with that clarification in mind.

We're all hoping the show keeps going, and I have hope that because of the response here so far, the audience for these reviews will build each week. In other words: thanks so much for commenting!!!!
