Yes! I did hear that the other day. Seems like an 11th hour decision since he Halford said the band was told about his decision on Thursday. It sucks, but if Tipton hand-picked Andy Sneap, then he must be the only guy up for the challenge. I would like to hear what K.K. Downing has to say about all this, but I suppose

Got a new Rainbow bootleg today in the mail. Miami 1976. Someone has uploaded the show on YouTube, albeit with more tape hiss.

I’ve been on a Kinks binge for the last few weeks. Slowly buying the two disc reissues of their first half-dozen albums. Love listening to them back to back and hearing how they change. Love the country influences on Muswell Hillbillies.

Jimmy Page announced today that How The West Was Won will be reissued and he’ll be in charge of remastering it. I don’t know what more of that album could be upgraded. It was only released 15 years ago. And fuck me, for cave in and buy it.

Nah, I say two years tops, but I don’t think it’ll reach that. The singer/bassist has been in auto-pilot mode when onstage for almost a decade. You can tell he’s been wanting to give it up for awhile now.

Slayer have announced their farewell tour. I already bought my ticket today. Lamb of God, Anthrax, Testament and Behemoth are all supporting them.

I don’t mind the cold, but when it starts getting windy and the windchill factor starts to set in, that’s a no-go for me.

41, but who’s counting?
