I can’t believe there isn’t another network that would like to pick this up. It’s one of the rare SciFi shows both my wife and I enjoy.
For others confused, as I was, the review appears to be for the 55-inch version for 650 (although it looks to be on sale for $600 at best buy currently). The 65-inch version is $1000.
Or at least copy Mazda and find a way to stretch out the hood to make their FWD imitate RWD proportions.
This was actually the Ford Interceptor. And I love your description, “art deco freight train”. I thought of the Interceptor as the automotive equivalent of a stainless steel .45, but art deco freight train sounds soooo much cooler.
Yeah... why does Ford have the ability to continually murder every awesome looking sedan concept they birth?
Ford didn’t make it so Chrysler did instead!
What, no love for the Solitaire?
I’ve always said they should have put that 2002 Continental concept into production. Always loved it. If they’re going to go full retro (and I’d be 100% behind that) this would be my dream:
Kinda, right?
Just of one the several ways I’m glad we don’t live in the Robocop future.
That was this...

And the 1996 Sentinel as the range topper:
It’s Lincoln’s model copying Cadillac with their phenomenal concepts, never making it to production . And also Buick with their Avista. Still pissed about that Buick never making production.
I’d buy that for a dollar!
Ford didn’t have the balls to build this,
only without the robot equiv. face that screams “kill me please”
