Just Netflixed the ep, based on your suggestion. The “true father” bit was a bit unnecessary, but yeah, the story was pretty good. Also, I liked the nod to the Gray Ghost and Phantasm (my favorite Batman theater experience), but how was she pulled out of retirement just to kill Terry’s parents? Kinda weird, right?

I was thrown (so to speak) a bit by “Commish” Gordon tossing a guy out a window. Comparing him to the humble Gordon(s) we’ve read/known in the past, this seemed to be a bit of a reach. But I thought about the shot/reveal that Gordon watched the guy hit the garbage bags, get up and flee and figured, that was his plan…

I can agree with this. My wife surprisingly sat in, a third of the way through my viewing of the Omnibus. I was able to quickly catch her up (Captain America, which she saw, and the beginning of Iron Man). But yeah, after a while, it was getting repetitive, pointing out all the nods and where this going to come up…
