Like a couple of previous posters: I don’t plan on having kids, and don’t plan on babysitting any of my friends’ kids either. I appreciate the sentiment behind the suggestion, but my friends can afford to hire a babysitter. I will, however, dog-sit for them all day haha.

Basic home improvement. At some point, you can’t just call your dad or father-in-law. I’m not nearly as good at it as I’d like, but I can do some basic repairs. I’ve laid tile, installed wood floors, fixed internal wall leaks, etc. If you’re going to buy a house, it’s required.
