This announcement seems like a bad thing for Community. SSTW was going to get cancelled even if the whole season ran; now something new (About a Boy?) gets a chance to succeed in its place and possibly be picked up for the fall schedule. Although I hope that logic is wrong and Community benefits from this.

From tvbythenumbers (full URL is too much to copy), just posted Friday morning: On NBC, Community earned a season high 1.4 up 8 percent from last week’s premiere’s 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Parks & Recreation returned to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating up 40 percent from a 1.0 for its most recent original on November 21.

Neil as radio DJ could serve as an effective narrator of what's happening in future episodes. Well done utilizing him in this way.

We'll see how the fourth episode deals with Pierce's death, I'm fine with how Jeff and Annie viewed it as an actual consequential event and compared it to their investigation of something very minor in comparison. It reminded me of that Buffy episode that had a relatively meaningless (at the time) story of Warren

B+. Donald Glover was great after his "victimization". Love the scene where he lifts himself out of the wheelchair, arms trembling, slaps Starburns, then sits back down and lets his head fall to the right like he's a broken elderly person. Harmon was right when he said that losing Troy is like losing your left arm,

Agreed - that episode was summed up by "the Hunger Deaaans!" declaration. Such crap.

Agree that the second episode wasn't fantastic, but a middling season 3 episode is still great. I have the same problem with Community that I did with 30 Rock - if every episode isn't the best television I've ever seen, with no lulls or weak points, you feel sort of let down.

B+ for the Repilot, B- for ITT. Those grades are on the Community curve, really enjoyed them both and love that the show is back in the right hands.

I thought he was trying to offer a seat to a distraught older man, then thought better of it.
