Neutral: Hurtling down the road at 75mph in a thin metal box controlled by a total stranger without a vetted level of prior experience, an uninspected vehicle, and unknown brake/tire quality is the bigger of my concerns.

I like the hi-po 5-spokes on my C5.. and I’m nowhere near boomer territory. I just think they look nice, and yes, brake dust comes right off. Someone paid $1200 for that option back in 2001. 

Yeah, I clicked in expecting some Direzza ZIII vs. RE-71 vs. Rival 1.5 action, not this glorified all-season bullshit.

If you are serious about your summer tires you are putting a 200 or lower treadwear rated tire on your car.

GM puts those on vehicles with larger wheels (20"+) to keep from getting damaged in transit. I used to work by a Cadillac dealer and saw this alot on Escalades.
