I did a stage one on my Mk6 GTI. Had to immediately upgrade plugs/coils, and of course now traction’s an issue. But otherwise, zero drama.

Fresh back from track day. My clapped-out NB kicked all kinds of ass on the NCs and NDs. Spec Miatas were still uncatchable though.
Well crap, now I have to come up with another excuse to soldier on in my clapped-out ‘99.
Ummm...
Lighter wheels and better tires. Went from ~50#/corner all seasons to ~35#/corner summers. Every single aspect of the vehicle’s performance is instantly improved.
I had a 96 coupe with a bunch of Dinan goodies including a supercharger. This was an upgrade from my 96 Miata daily/track toy.
I realize this is a little late for Monika, but perhaps refraining from using social media makes a little more sense?
Thanks for doing the math. Surprising that a car battery would have enough juice to make lightning for 10-20 hours!
But for how long?
Funny to read this- I went from a CTS-V (back) to a Miata for DD and track use.
ME GUSTA!!
I took a pretty long break in the middle (I think I got sucked into FO4). Wasn’t too hard to pick back up. Give it a few sessions and see what you think.
It’s awesome, and if I built it, I’d be justifiably proud.
Am I the only one who absolutely cannot stand the fender/bumper cutline? Atrocious.
True story - scrolling down Jalopnik, looking for The Morning Shift, I got to the bottom and couldn’t find it. What? I’m on the west coast, it’s almost always up before I am.
Absolutely spot on. Have a star.
You know, it’s funny. You guys bitch constantly about NYC but you’re still there.
It’s the remains of a 90 Mustang that I used for parts building my Volvo 5.044. My goal is to cut it up and junk it this year. Same as last year.
Man that sounds familiar. Except I went with a beater Miata.
Sure don’t think I’m digging the fender roll/push. Bumper fitment looks bad at the corners too. Too much money for something that’s be stanced.
