“but they will also begin to pay higher wages to the lower tier employees, for whom they will have to compete as our opportunities increase.”
I got myself a beater 99 Miata. Because I never stopped regretting selling my 96M. It’s a good day in America.
I’m a CPA and get people all the time asking for financial advice. I blink a few times, and say, well, I don’t really do financial planning. My only advice is: Spend less than you make.
Good point... so I checked on CPO Leafs:
Question from a fence-sitter: do you see price (net of credit) and performance (range and dynamics) getting better than this in the immediate future?
Thanks for posting. I’m a CPA and it bugs the @!#$ out of me with all the BS about this. At least this calculator shows some details. Have a star!
As I always buy used, I’m almost always stuck with color. But I draw the line at black. Had a black car once and promised I’d never do it again.
As somebody with a soft spot for Miatae, and currently crossshopping Caymans and C6Z’s, I appreciate your comment.
Had a 96M that slowly got track-prepped over a year or so, did a gazillion track days, daily drove it, absolutely loved it. Sold like a chump because I wanted something faster for the track.
Oh my god, I lived through that and managed to forget it. And here you remind me. A pox on you, David Tracy.
I don’t know what the answer is (my vote, 70-72 240Z with appropriate period-correct upgrades, but I’m biased). But I know 280ZX 2+2 is not the answer, even with turbo and T-tops.
Downside to the wagon is it’s a solid axle. Still super rad, but not the same as a “proper” 510 (which I never had, since they were all roached by the time I decided I wanted one).
As a Datsun nerd for 25 years (including a hysterical LZ22 521) I approve.
I live in Sonoma County CA, and other than our current firestorm, it’s an awesome place to drive a convertible. I pretty much daily drive my 67 Skylark Convertible from May through November. In a previous life, I DD’d a Miata year-round, just put the top up when it was cold or wet.
holy crap that’s a deal; maybe one gets a mid-90's Chevy truck and swaps the running gear* onto it. maybe one gets a dead cheap dead reliable track toy.
Really don’t get the point. Just to have a v6 Beetle?
I have my own hackjob (volvo 5.044) and it’s a hamfisted poorly engineered excuse for climbing the mountain because it’s there.
Awesome. I love grunge, having come of age around that time, and I love lounge non-ironically, since it often has good production and clarity.
