Can’t agree with you enough. Took my second hand CTSV to the GM dealer for recalls and was flabbergasted by the overall malaise and apathy that pervaded the place.

I think you meant “not being able to see the head melting is oddly frustrating”

They already made that.

Is this a 1986 Maxima stack?

Always wondered what those Ben-Hur lugnuts were for.

Just put wider tires on the front. DUH.

Well said. I went shopping a few years ago, and Ford was one of three dealers I looked at, and the sole domestic offering. This year, back to the Ford store again. Didn’t buy anything, but I think the simple crossing of the threshold by a knowledgeable enthusiast speaks volumes.

Hmm... I see J30 droopypants, and maybe a smidge of early E63.

Recently made the rounds trying to be that 40-something guy that finally bought a new car. Had (at least) one salesperson ask how I was going to finance the purchase before I even saw the car.

Are there really no “cars” left to argue about? I really enjoy NPoCP, but bikes hold zero interest.

Good for a chuckle, thanks!

You can’t save the airbags, abs, stability, rearview, structure. That doesn’t leave a lot of money for nice-but-cheap.

What could go wrong here?

Not being Toyota-savvy, I’m sure the grille and headlight surround is supposed to look like this. But I think it needs freshening up. Maybe all black surrounds and a silver grille or something... as it is, looks like junkyard parts that have shed their paint in eons past and someone just loved the patina.

I don’t think Ferrari’s been a driver’s brand for decades. It’s a lifestyle accessory, no different than those moronic $1500 purses that broke 20-somethings just have to have.

While I get that there are plenty of consumers that want/need the latest gadgetry, the current in-car tech race reminds me of the late-fifties fin/chrome orgy. It seems like the manufacturers are just throwing every damn thing in they can think of in order to one-up the other guys.

QUICK! Head for higher ground!

They really made some batshit ugly stuff that year. Ouch.

Bought a 2010 GTI this week. After learning the stock wheels weighed 29#, started looking for replacements. I’ve been lurking in the forums, and absolutely reeling from the stance toxicity.

I was feelin’ you until this monstrosity.
