You could ask the same thing about apostrophes.

Why do human’s still call balls and strikes when we are clearly incapable of doing it and the technology is there so that we don’t have to?

I guess we’re just going to ignore the pitch in the upper left, right? If an ump is going to call the upper left a strike, he can’t call the lower right a strike. Batters can’t easily cover that wide of a zone.

Harper was mostly right though, the umping was terrible in that game yesterday. But Scherzer got plenty of terrible strike calls in his favor, too.

The red dot to the left, well out of the strike zone? That was his issue.

Good luck hitting off Bartolo Colon; he leaves nothing on the plate.

It’s not a Baltimore suburb. It’s 2.5 hours from Baltimore, in Salisbury, for the USSSA World Series. And since this is Week 1 of the World Series in Salisbury, that means the teams are 10U and 12U. So we’re talking about kids no older than 7th graders. And we don’t have Baltimore accents, we have some weird

For lawyers, the answer to every question is the same: “It depends.”

Flagrant Red Card? It was borderline. Battling for the ball. Should it have been called? Sure. But that’s not why they won. They were the better team. Unlike the men’s game, we’re actually good at women’s soccer. Deal with it.

It’s still a huge talking point to the people who love to deride USWNT at all costs on here. I’d be okay with JJ being sent off with a red...if Maier had been sent off with a second yellow for repeated and clear pull-downs of Rapinoe on the advantage near the end of the first half.

Would that be the one that said “Giants 6, Cardinals 3”?

People forget how great Secretariat truly was. I blame this PC culture of ours, changing the name to “Administrative Assistant’s Day.” Total BS if you ask me.

They never would have been charged if, you know, the suspect didn’t end up dead. Besides, that’s only “reasonable suspicion” - that allows them to stop him and search, not necessarily arrest. And he didn’t have anything illegal when they searched him. Hence, it’s an illegal arrest.

Right now they can go to jail for following Supreme Court decisions such as Illinois v. Wardlow. The Baltimore States Attorney’s Office essentially overturned the Supreme Court’s decision.

Live look at his election victory speech

It really is amazing how many people hate Harper for no reason. A bunch of Cards fans I know hate him because “he’s overrated and never proven anything” when he’s out here putting up 20 homer seasons as a tiny little baby that hasn’t even learned object permanence yet.

If you are going to go Bhutan, you gotta include Wales (although it is not technically a country, even though it is, although not really, but it is...not, so there is that)

Since you’re not familiar with the show, I’ll clue you in - this is fan-favorite Fat Naked Stanley, and he’s been on every episode, following Don around and providing key commentary. There’s huge debate in the MM community over whether he’s real or a figment of Don’s imagination. In fact, I’d say one of the things

Cue the Bulls fans crying about the “free timeout” even though Thibs wanted the review, and Noah fouled LeBron.
